Moderne Loves St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse

Summer is long gone (well for most of the country... So Cal is stil in the mid / upper 70s) but that doesn't mean your golden goddess has to hibernate.

The last thing you want is to be uber pale especially while entertaining, mingling and celebrating over the holidays.

Don't over due it - beacuse you want to look sun kissed - not leathery orange. Ick.

If you can't get yourself to the tanning salon, or to get a spray tan, this product is your savior.

St. Tropez Self Tan- Bronzing Mouse

Runs approximately $30 and can be purchased at either the ST.Tropez website-HERE or at Sephora.com

Here's the deal -

No harsh self tanner/ spray tan smell

Instant glow in less than 10 minutes - from start to finish and out the door

Natural looking and super easy to use.

How it works:

Since it is a mousse, you get even, light application without having an over load on product.

Take a shower and exfoliate- the key to any good tan is to exfoliate!

After drying off, apply some moisturizer or lotion.

Let it dry.

Get a St. Tropez mitt or a latex glove ( try to avoid using your bare hands, unless you want orange palms).

Pump the product onto the glove and start applying.

Toes, legs, arms, body, back... apply evenly.

Let it sit for 60 seconds or so to dry.

Once dry- head out into the town.

Your will see that the producth as an instant tanner - as the mousse is brown.

The tan will set over a 4 hour span - when you can take a shower (similar to that of a spray tan).

Now you don't have to brave the cold, or step out of your own home to get the bronzed golden glow that you want for your holiday parties.

We are obsessed with this product, and hopefully you will give it a try.

SPOTTED: Alessandra Ambrosio and Taylor Swift in Wildfox Couture

Once again, Moderne brands are making the headlines. This time around, the sultry Alessandra Ambrosio and beautiful country pop star Taylor Swift have been spotted wearing Wildfox Couture.

*The look comes in two different styles and two different colors.

Both ladies look equally gorgeous in Wildfox, however they each wore the blouse differently. Taylor wore it off the shoulder with black leggings and brown flat boots- a great look to wear for Sunday brunch or shopping; while Alessandra cuffed the blouse and paired it with dark blue jeans and black pointy patent boots- a great look for a night out or date.

Moderne LOVES Kim Kardashian. I mean, she wears a lot of the lines that are carried at Moderne. But that doesn't mean that we will love EVERY look.

I understand that it was Halloween, but is she serious with this?

Kim attended the NETS game on 10/31 and sported the above ensemble.
Signature Kim Kardashian look - over the knee black boots, leggings.. but really, the Bigfoot sleeve? Did she think that only her neck and left side of her body were going to be cold?

She seems to be wearing a lot of fur since her move to the East Coast but this is a bit too out there.

Do you love or hate?
Seems like a lot of people are questioning her look but hey, the girl isn't stupid... she is getting plenty of press / attention with this one look.

Let's just hope she comes back to her senses and brings us some juicy outfits!

Moderne Loves: Bikram Yoga ( Irvine )

Looking for a new workout - perfect for the mind, body and soul?

Don't let the hot (105 degree), heated room scare you - try Bikram Yoga!!

Leave your stressors and problems outside and dive into a 90 minute class of pure sweat and focus.

Ok, so seriously- the thought of doing yoga in a hot room for 90 minutes is probably a bit overwhelming. And yet, so many people swear by it.

Some of us at Moderne recently started Bikram Yoga and it has forever changed out life. Sounds dramatic but it truly echoes the opinion of so many others.

Not only does this workout burn a ton of calories - we are talking about 600-1000 calories in 90 min... This workout clears your mind, and soul.

Through 2 sets of 26 postures, your body/ mind falls into an active routine. Don't worry- the postures don't get boring- as your body reacts differently on every given session.

It's amazing how your mental and emotional state really impact your workout.

Let's breakdown the workout for you:

1st set of postures are done standing up.

You have your typical "yoga"-esque postures... balancing on one foot, lifting your leg up to your head, etc etc. All of these postures are done based on your own capabilities. No two people will be doing the exact same pose...and that is ok.

2nd set of postures is done on the floor.

Trust me, after the first set- laying on a hard wood floor sounds absolutely divine.

Through the whole work out you need to BREATHE.

Even if you feel light headed, or want to quit - just BREATHE.

Amazing how your breath can clear your mind and help you ''center'' yourself during the class.

So now where do you go to try this?

We have visited quite a few studios in Orange County, San Diego and Las Vegas... and let's just say the studio really does make half of the experience.

Sure, once you enter the room for class- it is you and that heated room. But let's face it- we all care about being in a clean, spacious, studio run by knowledgable staff.

In Our Opinion -

Go To Bikram Yoga Irvine

Not only is this studio HUGE, it is very clean, they offer you a towel per session, have great shower facilities and best of all - awesome staff and members.

At the end of the day - it's all about the WHOLE experience right?

**Side note** This studio is powered by solar energy- so you can feel good about being environmentally conscious while healing yourself.

Bikram Yoga Irvine- as well as other Bikram Yoga studios offer great introductory packages.. so that you can get your feet wet (no pun intended but you will be drenched).

Next time you are ''too busy'' to work out, or take time for yourself... set aside 90 min and get it all done with Bikram Yoga.
