Tiffany and Moderne Roll Up to Retail Camp This April

Who says retail is all about fun and glamour? We are serious business minded professionals too!

Super excited to be a part of the upcoming Retail Camp series.

We will be attending with our lovely blogger: Tiffany!

Come April 9th and 10th, I’ll be rolling up to Retail Camp at Woodbury University in Burbank. I’m excited to be attending for the first time on behalf of ShopModerne.com! The interactive two-day conference, packed with workshops and presentations about digital media, is a must for apparel and retail industry professionals, designers and bloggers. And as a fashion blogger, I’m eager to learn as much as I can, as well as squeeze in some networking!

After viewing the full list of panels, I'm really looking forward to the Digital Trend Forecasting presentation with keynote speaker Lyndsey Wong, the Trend Director of Stylesight. The panel will discuss how technology has changed the process of fashion forecasting, an issue which I find especially relevant to fashion bloggers. Bloggers are undoubtedly a part of the shift in forecasting - the first to post their opinions and photos of runway looks, the first to spot street style trends, to discuss, share and covet the latest collections.

Business of Blogging 2011 is another seminar I'm jotting down on my calendar. With speakers like Erin Weinger, editor in chief of StyleSectionLA and Valerie Elizabeth of SocietyStylist.com, I'm sure the panel will prove eye-opening as we learn how these ladies have successfully branded their blogs as a fashion business. Finding Your Niche & Your Voice features keynote speakers like Lauren Francis, who will discuss finding your niche when starting a blog from scratch, as well as Hilary Peterson, who will focus on creating meaningful blog content.

Love It Or Hate It? ipod nano watches

Since we usually follow feminine trends.. thought we would throw up a quick post on something more techy and masculine (although lots of girls could pull this

off)

That's right fashionistas and fashionistos, that to the right is an ipod nano watch.

apple seems to come out with a products that push the envelope on a regular basis, but do you think they had this in mind?

The latest ipod nano style is a perfect little square nugget.. think Ghirardelli chocolate square size. What better way than to keep track of this little device than in a watch.

A bunch of different brands have released fairly inexpensive styles of ipod nano watches....

To the right is from incipio and is probably one of the most ''chic'' looking styles out there. Pictured is the NGP Wristband Case for only $24.99.

Sure it is made out of rubber, but then again, you would probably use this when you are working out, being active or need to listen to music. Not when attending a black tie event.

So, the question is...

Fashionistos: do you love it or hate it ? Would you want to rock this look?

Fashionistas: they do have a pink wristband.. would you wear that? Maybe to the gym? Would you want your man to wear ?

I'm a bit on the fence... Sure it's convenient, practical and really conventional.. but ... it looks like a kiddie watch? Ok, so maybe when working out we would LOVE IT... but for all other settings .. we shall pass on it.

Love It or Hate It? Bedazzled Eyelashes, as seen on Anne Hathaway

So, this look isn't for everyday wear but what are our feelings towards the bedazzled fake eyelashes?

Oscars 2011 host, Anne Hathaway, rocked the crystal sprinkled fake eyelashes last night.. for the duration of the show. Seems to be getting more buzz than the 7 dress changes she went through.

So, it might a little intense, but if you can't wear them for the Oscars, when can you? Or are they entirely too tacky? They kind of remind me of when people used to wear crystal clips (or whatever they were..)in their hair.

For those of you who are interested in this trend... you don't have to go bedazzle on your own... Ardell offers a line of lashes called ELEGANT EYES and have all kinds of jewels on them.
