Moderne Man: "The Cabs Are Here!!!"

Alex M. is back & dishing out the details on the latest looks for us that can't have enough of the crazy Jersey Shore cast. Here is what Alex has to say about thier looks with a Moderne twist!

The pop culture phenomenon that is Jersey Shore has returned to our TV screens for another season of drama, partying, and Guidos & Guidettes. Let’s not pretend like we didn’t miss this loveable group especially the little Snookes!

This season, the guys are wearing their thoughts…on their shirts. Recently, Vinny was seen sporting a shirt with, “Pugs, Not Drugs” and DJ Pauly D was sporting a muscle-tee with, “Music is the Mother F****** Answer.”

In honor of their fashionable choices, here are a couple of shirts from Local Celebrity for Men, here are a few of our Moderne picks that the Jersey Shore cast would love:

The “Fist Pump” is a must have tee shirt just because this shirt calls for everyone on the dance floor to fist pump the night away.

The “I’am Keeper” tee is reminiscent of The Situation’s "pride" but remember... don’t get caught in a situation involving grenades!

“Bonafied Hustler” oozes DJ Pauly D and his swag as an in-demand DJ now serving as opening act for pop star Britney Spears.

While “Italian Stallion” is a reminder of their possible Italian roots, we could definitely see our mister Vinny rocking this tee.

After being at MAGIC this past week, I have found my new obsession...actually, I have been in L-O-V-E with Naven seen I saw it's debut on Kristen Cavallari! Now it seems like all of the hottest ladies in Hollywood are wearing these bright colored pieces.

Spotted most recently was Lala Vasquez Anthony in leopard print. She is looking hot, hot, hot!

Brand Alert: NAVEN Maven's

You have seen celebs like Kristen Calvalari and Khloe Kardashian rock these out-of-the-ordinary structured dresses at the most recent events in Hollywood, but did you ever think about the designer behind these bright pieces?

Well, we did our research & we are even more obsessed with the brand after finding out the deets about this dynamic duo!

The twins started their line back in 2007 in Los Angeles, California. Even though they are based out of the City of Angels, their lines are mostly inspired by their European backgrounds. They were quoted saying, "We're a team in every aspect of the word, a team that works hard, plays hard, values family above all, a team that's always chasing our dream of making NAVEN a house hold name in the Fashion Industry." And we couldn't be happier that they are chasing those dreams and dressing us in fabulous threads!

Friday Find: Oh my OXFORDS!

I'm pretty sure that we all know the most important part of your outfit is the shoes. They can either make or break your look, and you would never want to be steered in the wrong direction.

That is why the lovely Oxford Shoes have recently caught my attention...again! They are always popping in and out of fashion at the most convenient times- summer time leading into fall. They are probably the one shoe that can be paired with a skirt, boy shorts, boyfriend jeans, or high-waisted trousers without looking tacky.

One way that these fun & comfy shoes can be worn is with our Mink Pink Gypsy Rose Blouse from Moderne with some caramel high-waisted shorts. Toss on a rusted gold necklace and layer on those bracelets for a look that will exude originality!

Friday Find: Ponchos Please!

Stylists said it back in February during Fashion Week and they are saying it again...Ponchos are are back & making an appearance for Fall 2011.

Teen Choice Awards Style Recap

With the Teen Choice Awards on early this evening, we thought that we would highlight the best look from the red carpet & give you the Moderne alternatives for what we would dress the celebs in!

The win goes to the oh-so-adorable Selena Gomez & lovely Demi Lovato. We thought that they were worthy of our #1 spot for best dressed at the

Teen Choice Awards. Demi Lovato strutted down the red carpet in a gorgeous BCBG Max Ariza yellow gown, while Selena Gomez joined her in an Erin Fetherston garment.

Style Diary: Empire State of Mind

Stepping out of my hotel and onto the streets of New York City made me feel like a small fish in a sea full of hopes & dreams. It's a feeling that you can't really explain. I felt like a small kid in FAO Schwarz! You just want to be everywhere all the time & explore every nook. So here we go...below is my first victim of street scene style...

Meet Jake from NYC. He was visiting the Met and I spotted him outside while we waited so patiently for his friend to join him. I feel heels over head for Jake's boots that he paired with a pair of cut-off shorts. He said the one thing he couldn't live without was his iPhone! Well, I feel the same...you say iPhone, I say Blackberry.

Next up in a man that I have no name attached to. I caught him running off the subway and snapped this. Any man that can pull off a satchel is OK in my book! The rough look to it makes it compliment any work or weekend fit.

My time in NYC was well spent & if there was one thing that I did take around with me everywhere was my Kate Spade Aviators. I easily paired them with a linen blouse & denim shorts that I wrapped with a braided belt.

I guess all I can say is that I can't wait to go back & explore the city more. NYC will always have a HUGE place in my heart.
