Not all 80′s Fashion is out of style… The NEON trend has been coming in strong and seems to be here for the summer. From everyday neon accents to all together head turning bright looks, be a part of this neon craze.
PEEK A BOO: EVERY DAY NEON
Think neons are a little too much for your daily wardrobe? Don’t think you can wear neon to work? Think again. As long as you keep the neon item as an accent, you can pull off even the brightest of hues.
Tips To Wearing Every Day Neon:
*Let the neon do the talking- keep the rest of your outfit neutral in tones. Neon colors work great with neutrals including: black, white, tans, and gray.
*One neon color per look- keep your style on trend but fly under the neon radar picking one neon hue per look.
*Not a fan of flourescent clothing- who said your accent piece had to be clothing? Add some neon with jewelry (neon jewelry with mixed metals can take cheap to chic), purse, shoes or even nail polish (let’s just stay away from the neon make up).
SHOW STOPPER: DARE TO BE NEON
Clearly not afraid of a little color – make sure you pick hues that match your skin tone. As for mix and matching the actual colors – play around. See what colors make you feel the best.
Tips To Wearing Show Stopping Neon:
*Try different color combinations to see which colors work for you.
*Don’t get too color happy- give yourself 3 colors max per look.
*Balance out the look with some neutral shoes, or complementary accessories.
BOLD NEON BABE: SOLID NEON
Say good-bye to the LBD this summer and swap it out with a little neon dress. Find your favorite neon hue and rock a solid neon number.
Tips To Wearing Solid Neon:
*Play up the color but keep the garment style tried and true. Don’t want to go too skimpy and daring in neon.
*Show off your summer golden glow with a neon colored bikini. Neon against tan skin can also have a slimming effect.
*Take this look from day to night, casual to glam: play up(or down) the look by adding (or ditching) the accessories and jewelry.
As with all things style, make sure you add your own personality into your look. Go as bold or as minimal as you want and stay within your fashion comfort zone!
