Moderne Top 5 Faves: San Diego Clubs/ Nightlife

Moderne loves night life. We love dancing, looking stylish, having a few cocktails (on some occasions more than a few) and dressing the lovely people of the night life industry. Making a name for itself and taking the night life scene by storm is the beautiful city of sunny San Diego. Keep reading for Moderne's top 5 faves...

Without a doubt we have to start with the newly renovated club on 5th Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter, Voyeur, or as we like to call it Voyeur 2.0. Two walls that use to stand tall directly in the middle of the dance floor were knocked down and are now replaced with tables to allow more interaction. With its fresh new look, LED wall, DJs that are not to be missed and amazing dancers who have all the hipster boys falling in love, Voyeur is a must see. Recommended Night:(s) Thursday.

One of our Moderne employees brought in the new year at the W Hotel and couldn't stop ranting and raving about it. For all of you that have never been, W has 3 levels- living room, ballroom, and the beach... yes that's right the beach where you can take off your shoes and dip your toes into the sand. The W is great for date night or night out with the girls. Be sure to check out their website and/or twitter to stay updated with their events, like the DiscoverSD Industry Auction Charity coming in February! Recommended Night: Friday

*New Club- Boudoir located on 7th and C Street is open for risque business. Boudoir is not for the timid, reserved, or introverted. Whips, handcuffs, chains, butt plugs and feathers garnish its interior. With 3 levels, Boudoir has something for everyone including a sex wheel. Sign the wavier and get buckled in for an experience so tantalizing you'll be going for seconds. If getting strapped down and whipped isn't your thing make your way downstairs and dance the night away. Recommended Night(s): Saturday

The ever changing night club Fluxx, on 4th and Island, has made quite a name for itself as there is a chance you might bump into a celebrity on occasion. From basketball players such as Lebron James to hip hop rappers Too Short everyone wants to be seen poppin' bottles in this club. Fluxx "a tribute to the ever-changing nature of the venue" transforms itself regularly into the unexpected. One weekend you might visit and find the beautiful cocktail waitresses body painted like leopards and the next you are in a Winter Wonderland. Whatever the case may be, one thing is for sure, you will definitely not be dissatisfied. Recommended Night(s): Friday, Saturday, and Industry Night Monday

While this post is suppose to be about clubs we can't help but mention the new establishment on the corner of 5th and F, Analog Bar, where singing, dancing and drinking are strongly encouraged. When Good Food Strong Drinks is there tag line you know you are in good company. Step inside Analog Bar and you'll find a funky, eclectic and fresh environment with nightly specials, karaoke, great music and employees that have some tricks up their sleeves. Recommended Night(s): Tues-Sun

So if you see us drunkenly strutting our stuff on the dance floor or hailing a cab as we hold onto each other for dear life in fear we'll fall and show our "brittany" please pretend to not recognize us, it would be much appreciated.
