Pop, Shop and Doo Wop- Bruno Mars Concert - Las Vegas

What a blast. Moderne was on site and alongside our favorite snacks, popchips, for the Bruno Mars concert in Las Vegas!

J spent most of her day working alongside the popchips Vegas teams- who are all incredible.

Great little photo op with the backdrop (in the photo above) ... and we all got our own props too

Let's just say Bruno Mars is one talented artist. His songs were just as amazing live, as they are recorded.. you know they are talented when they sound better in person than on their CD.

Viva Las Vegas: Moderne at WWDMAGIC

For all of you fashionably late on the big news, Moderne is proud to announce that we will be going to WWDMAGIC in Vegas this coming Monday, February 14^th-16^th. The convention will be featuring new and emerging brands, blogger lounges, seminars and more! But don't fret my fellow fashionistas if you are not attending, Moderne has an all access pass and will be tweeting and blogging live from the floor to share this amazing experience with you.

As the fashion extravaganza quickly approaches we can’t help but day dream about all the beautiful clothes and exceptionally dressed people we will meet. Vegas Ready Signature Looks .. Your Guide on What To Wear, Where.

It's no secret that looking good is half the battle of getting into clubs especially in towns like Las Vegas.

Lucky for you, Moderne has looks that will get you to the front of the line, comp'd drinks and bottle service - the true VIP experience.

Going out in Vegas is going all out including hair, make up, nails, tan but most of all, the OUTFIT.
You have to remember that the hosts in Vegas see gorgeous girls day in and day out... you need to make sure you meet the 'Vegas standards'.

Here's a quick guide on the type of looks that will get you noticed by the people ''in charge'':

Rocker Glam:

For the girl who doesn't do hot pink, but has banging legs.

The Look:Pair your favorite tee or tank with a loud (yet not obnoxiously bright skirt). Tuck your shirt/ tank in for a bit more polished look - or if you want to go true rocker, wear a loose fitting top untucked.
Finish off with some killer platform pumps or even with your fave motorcycle boots.

You know you have it going on, and you aren't afraid to flaunt it.

The Look: A little glitz and glam go a long way in Vegas, and Sky Dresses are the perfect way to get you noticed.

The Accessory: Paired with some bangles, a simple clutch, earrings and a killer cocktail ring, you are ready to paint the town red.

Perfect the Diva look with your highest platform heels and you are set. Ladies- make sure you can walk the casino floors and dance the night away before setting out for a night out. The last thing you want is to have to wobble your way through the night.

Tip: Some casinos have tricky cobblestones/ walkways - including: Venetian (through canal shops to Tao) and Planet Hollywood (Miracle Mile shops)

The Sweetheart
Sequins can't outshine the cutey of the bunch. Ruffles, color and romance are more your cup of tea.

The Look: Nothing too short, too exposed or too loud. You are here to have a good time, not to be mistaken for a cocktail waitress or dancer.

Flaunt your favorite asset but leave a little to the imagination. Wear your favorite day / date dress by pairing it with some a-mazing jewelry.

The Accessory: Since you aren't going out of your comfort zone with the body-con bandage dress, you are free to go wild w/ the accessory.
Rock your favorite cocktail ring, bright colored clutch or even a pop of
bright lipstick.

Leave your kitten heels at home. The Vegas clubs are one place you need to rock the heels.

Casual Chic / Minimalist
T shirt and jeans or shorts kind of a girl? For the girl who doesn't want to get all dolled up - regardless of where you are.

The Look: Casual clothes + accessories + shoes
Sport a tunic or solid oversized tee and pair it with your favorite solid skirt or skinny jeans for an instant casual chic look.

Oversized tees that can be worn off the shoulder add instant spice to your ensemble.

The Accessory: Killer heels and chunky jewels. Most easily done with bangles (lots of bangles) and a layered necklace. If you have a bit of a BOHO PRINCESS in you - bust out your feather headband or earring.

Tip: For an instant outfit, take an oversized tee like any Nation One Size tee, wrap a thin braided or rope belt around your waist- do a length check ( you want to make sure it covers what needs to be covered), slap on some shoes, play with your bed head, and voila - effortless chic.

Barbie's Best Friend

You've worked hard to look this good... or maybe you've had some help from a certain Dr. Regardless of how you got there, you look good.

The Look: Skin tight/ body con bandage dresses seem to be your go to. Anything to show of those curves. What better way than to hug those assets with a slim fitting mini dress.

Let's face it... Barbie (and Barbie's bestie) don't need much to turn heads, so keep the rest of your look simple.

High platform heels are a must have- does Barbie even own flats?

The Accessory: Keep it simple doesn't mean skip on all jewelry. Pick a fave and stick to it- a nice accent ring, earrings or a solid color clutch.
