Moderne Man: Hoodie Haven

Our very own Moderne Man is back and dishing on the one item that every man needs during these chilly days...a good quality hoodie!

Last time, I went crazy over plaid but sometimes, it’s good to tone it down and have the laid-back look.  Whether you’re out with your friends at a house party or having a little rendezvous with your significant other, this look is effortless and will keep you looking extra cool during this winter season.

Pick up a pair of my favorite, distressed jeans from Degaine because not only are they stylish with all the pre-torn holes in the front, but they are also a little loose fitting and comfortable for the Moderne guy.  Although I am a huge fan of the bright, pop colors such as yellow, blue, and all other things that are eye-catching, it’s fall so that means the darker colors are in such as the shades of browns, blacks, and grays.

The tee shirt from Alternative Earth is a light shade of brown that isn’t a complete bore and still manages to pop out at a person. It literally brings the best of both worlds and puts into one shirt. The shirt serves as a contrast to the dark shade of the jeans. 

The BlackMetro Hoodie from Alternative Apparel is a pullover hoodie that is great for layering and doesn’t have the zipper at the front. If you’re looking for a bright pop colored hoodie and earth-friendly clothing, Alternative Earth offerssome unisex hoodies in light purple, green and gray.

Moderne Man: We Are Seeing PLAID!

Let's welcome back Alex! Being that he is one of our Moderne Men, we are asking him what he loves most about this Fall weather. Turns our that him and Glenn Pakulak are on the same page & love PLAID. So here he goes again! 

Although summer is long gone and unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to all the muscle t-shirts and short, there is a silver lining in the form of PLAID! 

Plaid was a huge trend among the masses especially in shorts, but now it’s in our shirts and even our ties.  Just a Cheap Shirt has produced some of the cool and trendy must-haves of the season.  Not only have they given us a trend for the Fall season, but they’ve added some splash of color to their shirts.

Grey is the must-have color on your shirt, tie, or pants. Basically, anything you wear out in public! Don’t say I didn’t give you that tip. The great thing about plaid is the versatility it offers because you can either wear them with a pair of blue jeans or a pair of grey slacks. 

My favorite JACHS is the yellow, blue, and white plaid because it offers the brightest colors you can ever think of and gives an extra POW! to the eye especially if you’re wanting to stand out among the crowd.  JACHS also offers a dash of gray in the grey/black/red plaid shirt and also in the grey/red/yellow shirt which is another piece you should have in your closet.

Moderne Man: "The Cabs Are Here!!!"

Alex M. is back & dishing out the details on the latest looks for us that can't have enough of the crazy Jersey Shore cast. Here is what Alex has to say about thier looks with a Moderne twist!

The pop culture phenomenon that is Jersey Shore has returned to our TV screens for another season of drama, partying, and Guidos & Guidettes. Let’s not pretend like we didn’t miss this loveable group especially the little Snookes!

This season, the guys are wearing their thoughts…on their shirts. Recently, Vinny was seen sporting a shirt with, “Pugs, Not Drugs” and DJ Pauly D was sporting a muscle-tee with, “Music is the Mother F****** Answer.”

In honor of their fashionable choices, here are a couple of shirts from Local Celebrity for Men, here are a few of our Moderne picks that the Jersey Shore cast would love:

The “Fist Pump” is a must have tee shirt just because this shirt calls for everyone on the dance floor to fist pump the night away.

The “I’am Keeper” tee is reminiscent of The Situation’s "pride" but remember... don’t get caught in a situation involving grenades!

“Bonafied Hustler” oozes DJ Pauly D and his swag as an in-demand DJ now serving as opening act for pop star Britney Spears.

While “Italian Stallion” is a reminder of their possible Italian roots, we could definitely see our mister Vinny rocking this tee.

A How-To Dress guide for the men. Granted, lots of guys are stepping up gorier fashion/style game but there is always room for the ladies' perspective.

ROAR- Stealth Shirt in Black Okay, I'll be honest I am not a huge fan of shirts that have designs or anything that would make me think Pauly D, but I have to admit ROAR consists of items that don't scream GTL. This shirt is like the guy version of the "little black dress" but instead it's the "black button down shirt" ...with a twist of course. The back of the shirt is imprinted with spread wings and a bold R, but fear not it is not overtly loud or take away from the classic shirt that it should be. Wear to: a night out or dinner with your girlfriend.

Local Celebrity- Italian Stallion Tee in Mustard Yes, the first thing that comes to mind is Jersey Shore or my Italian boss... she's a girl, but she's Italian nonetheless. This isn't your average tee, for this shirt has personality. Great for your Italian stud!- Wear to: day of drinking with the boys or lunch with the girlfriend.





English Laundry- Bold White Stripe Shirt Classic shirt with french cuffs, a must have in all men's closets as it is so versatile. Wear to: breakfast, lunch or dinner. (remember it depends what you pair it with; with shorts it's more casual and with dark jeans it becomes dressier)





Just A Cheap Shirt-Hooded Woven Shirt I love this hooded shirt and if I had a boyfriend I would buy it for him, but I don't so if if you are reading this and have a bf do yourself a favor and buy one for him, you want him to look as good as you right?
